Susanne offers several different types of clinics to fill many different needs. Her unique style of teaching lends itself to many disciplines of riding. Dressage riders, Eventers, Hunters and even Western riders have benefited from her clinics. One of her current students does not even ride her Dressage tests, she drives them! This just goes to prove that good balanced riding and thoughtful, correct instruction is the key to success, no matter what equipment you choose.

Testimonials

Tiffany, Manchester MI
"I really enjoyed this clinic because I was able to improve myself in little but effective ways. I learned how my body affects how the horse moves and how to improve my horse's way of going. The explanation of everything I needed to improve on was very clear and precise. Sue really took the time to make sure I understood all of the things I needed to do. Throughout the weekend I was able to become noticeably softer with my hands and really ride with my seat and legs."

Stella, Ann Arbor MI
"The upper level prep with Sue this weekend was infinitely valuable. Sue taught me a lot about body placement and gave me a clear understanding of body positioning. Throughout the weekend my horse and I improved exponentially and Sue helped both our physical and mental state. Given the chance I would definitely take more regular lessons with Sue and I would be ecstatic if she returned next year!"

Janina, Great Lakes Region
"Sue was very clear in what was happening and what should be happening with me and my horse. She was able to identify areas that I really needed to work on in my position and in my ability to ride my horse forward. She really helped me develop a better sense of what was needed in order for me to be successful in my riding.'
Private and Semi Private Lessons

Private and semi private lessons may be booked at any farm hosting open clinics. Please see the calendar for a listing of scheduled clinics. Regular ring fees apply.
If you do not see a farm in your area and would like to book a clinic at your own farm, please contact us for dates. If your location is local to NH, you need to provide a block of at least 7 lessons. If your farm or organization is not local, you may book a clinic for a daily rate plus travel expenses.

European Style Retreats

In 2008, after finding the perfect location, Susanne was able to hold her first Riders Retreat. This format allows for a unique opportunity to spend three days immersed in training. These retreats are held at
New Gait Manor in Weare New Hampshire. This gracious farm provides the ultimate setting for riding, training and relaxing. From the spacious indoor arena with excellent footing, to the cross country schooling course, trails, outdoor arena, large airy stalls and the charming Bed and Breakfast complete with a hot tub, who could ask for more!
The lesson plan of each clinic will be slightly different based in large part on the riders needs. One weekend may be a Seatworks, another might be for eventers. Whatever the topic, the sessions will be filled with creative energy like everything that Sue does!
Consider getting a group of friends together and request topics for your own needs. A minimum or 6 riders are needed for each weekend with a maximum of 8.
Please see our Calendar Page for dates and feel free to contact us for any questions.

Seatworks

Seatworks is a multi day clinic of Susanne's own design. It is designed for 6-8 riders and as many auditors as the space allows. Seatworks focuses on the balance and symmetry of the rider. For this clinic you will need a steady, fairly uncomplicated horse since seatworks is all about the rider. You will spend an intensive two and a half days identifying and solving postural imbalances and learning how to truly follow the horse's movements.
Price is based per rider. For a complete explanation of this very dynamic workshop, please see our "Seatworks" page.
